Founder's Girl Lacrosse League's (FGLL) mission is to promote girls lacrosse in an environment that emphasizes fun, while developing skills, teamwork, good sportsmanship and integrity.
Westwood Girl's Youth Lacrosse as a member of FGLL, is in a non-competitive league. This means that no score is kept and there are no scoreboards on the fields. Each town within the league maintains even SKILLED or BALANCED teams. All coaches are required to play the girls equally (failure to show for multiple practices is an exception to this requirement) and at all positions on the field.

All schedules will be accessed through the league schedule website. You may access the website through www.fgll.org. This will give you your schedule, the opponent, directions to the field.
All games are played on Sundays with the game times varied each week.
Outdoor practices begin in March or as soon as we are cleared to play on the fields. In the past, practices were held Monday and Wednesday from 5 - 8 pm, with each team typically practicing for 1 1/2 hours. These days and times may change for the 2016 season.
The girl's play with a regulation Women's lacrosse stick which can be cut to a comfortable length. Please consult your coach before cutting your stick! All field players must wear a COLORED mouth guard with no protruding tabs and lacrosse goggles. We recommend caged goggles as plastic goggles tend to fog up. The girls wear cleats or sneakers.
We understand that you may have conflicts with school sports or family commitments. However we ask you that you attend all the practices and games. If you are unable to attend the practices or games, please let your coach know the dates you have a conflict.
